This is the website for Hackboat 2025, an infosec unconference on the high seas. The event took place in Portland, OR on June 6th, 2025, and brought together the community for a one-day pirate-themed security unconference on a boat.
I created this project as a volunteer for Hackboat. I attend the BSides conference in Portland every year and had been wanting to make it to Hackboat for a while, but this was the first year the dates lined up. I had a lot of fun making the design and icons for the site, especially since the tech pirate theme was so fun to play with.
The event itself was an incredible day, full of learning, community, and creativity. I look forward to continuing to attend Hackboat in the years ahead.

Project Story
Hackboat gave me the chance to contribute to a community I care deeply about. Creating the design and icons was a highlight because it combined my interest in security with a playful, thematic challenge. This project reminded me how rewarding it is to build something that supports community events and shared experiences.
