Anyone who does user research knows the worst part isn't the interviews — it's everything after. You end up with hours of footage where the actual insight is buried in a dozen scattered moments you have to find, clip, and stitch together before anyone will sit through it. That lost afternoon of editing is the thing I wanted to delete. Clipses turns raw interview footage into a shareable highlight reel: upload your videos, get instant transcripts, mark the quotes that matter, and the clips come together for you.

Under the hood it's a Turborepo monorepo — a marketing site, the main app, an admin dashboard, and an Express API — with transcription wired up through AssemblyAI and the usual unglamorous-but-necessary plumbing like auth, Stripe billing, and S3 storage holding it together. I lead the frontend, but on a small team that means my hands are in most of it. We built it for ourselves first, which is probably why it doesn't try to be a full video editor. It just gets you to the reel.
